Project Goal and Objectives

The goal of this project is to obtain knowledge about swallow species in British Columbia and encourage shared stewardship. This will be accomplished by working towards achieving the following objectives:

  • Survey for swallows and their important habitats.
  • Research nesting site selection and habitat use.
  • Construct, monitor, and maintain nesting structures.
  • Encourage partnerships and shared stewardship.

Barn, Cliff (Petrochelidon pyrrhonota), and Bank Swallows will be target species for this project given their conservation concern.
